How to apply for Unhyeongung Memorial and how to apply

Commemorative photograph range

- wedding photo, first birthday photo, family photo, group photo or in case that photographer and photo agency wants to use for other purposes.

How to apply for photograph (currently up to December 31, 2018)

· Photograph time and permission time : 09:30 ~ 17:30 / within 1 hour

· Photograph restrictions (only on May, Jun, Sep, Oct) : ① In the middle of the week - the whole area excluding the restricted area
② Weekends and holidays - Only the front yard

· First-birthday party : Present your ID on the day of photograph after completing the application form. Photograph is permitted after getting the issued secret sign (Write an oath only once)
· Wedding photo : apply 3 days before the photograph date

· Photograph information (CCTV is always turned on) : - Prohibit photograph on buildings and flower garden and keep photograph time
- Do not shoot inside the railway railing of Noan-dang
- Do not change your cloth (including disabled toilet)
- Do not use bubbles, sounding toys nor raise your voice loud
- Do not move fire extinguisher and guide signs
- Do not eat nor disturb visitors. (Avoid violation of pledge, etc.)
※ Please keep the regulations. If you violate the regulations over 3 times, the sanctions will be imposed according to prohibition of photograph in violation of Article 29 (2) of the Seoul Metropolitan Council of Cultural Properties Protection.

Photograph application method (From January 1, 2019)

· Photograph available time and permission time : 09:30 ~ 17:30 / within 1 hour
① weekdays - within 5 days per day
② Weekends and holidays - Within 10 applications per day (within 5 applications each morning and afternoon)
· Restricted area of photograph : ① Weekdays - the whole area excluding the restricted area
② Weekends and holidays - Only the front yard can be photographed (throughout the year)
· How to apply : send an application form via e-mail before 3~5 days of the photograph day / Same company (including private) Limited to 1 application per day
· Photograph information (CCTV is always turned on) : - Prohibit photograph on buildings and flower garden and keep photograph time
- Do not shoot inside the railway railing of Noan-dang

- In case of repeated violation, prohibition period of photograph will be increased, Do not eat nor disturb visitors. (Avoid violation of pledge, etc.)

Permission on photograph and location use

- Contact the Seoul City Hall Historical Cultural Properties Department (02-2133-2644)
- The management office does not take care of permission on Unhyeongung photograph and location use
- It is not possible to go to Unhyeongung on the closed days

Unhyeongung shooting fee (Article 28, Annex 3 of the Enforcement Rule of the Seoul Metropolitan Council for the Protection of Cultural Properties)

※ At night, 100% is added to the above rate (including excess rate) but the addition rate cannot exceed 100%.
※ If location use time is less than 1 hour, it includes 1 hour.
※ Day and Night: day time is from 06:00 to 18:00, night time is from 18:00 to 06:00 of the following day.

Photograph charge and exemption for location use

Movies produced for student or other public purposes TV and video for the purpose of current events and news reporting Videos for private purposes such as sightseeing, home videos, etc.

③ Application and Reception

· You need to verify your identity, therefore an official certificate is required.
· Please scan the required documents (shooting scenarios, shooting plan, etc.) and prepare attachments.
· After payment of the fee, you can get your license online.

- Visit and apply for shooting and location use
· Apply directly to the Civil Service Office on the first floor of Citizen's Office, Seoul City Hall with the following documents in accordance with the 「Enforcement Regulations of the Seoul Metropolitan Government Cultural Assets Protection Ordinance」.

1. Application for photograph
- Application deadline : Apply up to 5 days prior to the shooting date (excluding public holidays and Saturdays)

- Required documents
· Application form for permission to use the cultural properties of Seoul Metropolitan Government
· Each 1 photographing scenario and shooting plan
· 1 copy of the safety protection measures for the cultural properties and the attached facilities and surrounding trees
· 1 copy of cultural property preservation compliance certificate
· 1 copy of applicant identification card

2. Application for Permission for Unhyeonggung photograph
- Application deadline : up to 20 days before the date of use (※ Holidays and Saturdays excluded)

- Required documents
· 1 Application form for permission to use the cultural properties of Seoul Metropolitan Government
· 1 drawing sheet of the location use
· 1 planning sheet of photograph event
· 1 planning sheet concerning event support and facility status (including cultural property and facility protection measures)
· 1 list of participants (including personal information such as organization, address, contact information)
· 1 other reference document
· copy of cultural property preservation certificate

3. Approval conditions
- Submit an application form of photograph and location use in accordance with the required conditions
- Pay the fee by the day before the shooting in accordance with the payment of the fee for use of the shared property
